The shelter is in urgent need of 22 blankets and another 12 to provide the children with the warmth required to have a good sleep. Many people in North America think all of Africa is hot all the time but this is not true. Ethiopia has months of cool temperatures especially in the evening and early morning (when the children are sleeping). The shelter does not have a heating source making the blankets essential for the children to have the warmth needed to have good quality and restorative sleep. The blankets are made in Ethiopia which supports their economy and are soft, thick and very cozy.
